DON’T SLEEP: Madeon “Pop Culture (Live Mashup)” [BEAT VIDEO]
Madeon recently posted this video on YouTube that I slept on because he doesn’t really make my kind of music typically. I saw Double 0 from Kidz In The Hall post a link to it on Twitter and I decided to actually watch it this time. I’m impressed to say the least (even though the selections Madeon used are the opposite of my typical taste). The actual execution itself is crazy. According to his YouTube info, Madeon used FL Studio & Ableton Live, played on a Novation Launchpad & Novation Zero SL MKII. I just think it’s ill even though I’m not with this vaporub inside the surgical mask & glowsticks shit…

Madeon’s track is nice. There are tons of us out there doing mashups on a
launchpad (how to’s on my site). While this video focuses more on the
“gimmick” element of what we do, it’s still a good track and it’s good
to get more attention for what we’re doing, outside of labels and legal
protection.
