DON’T SLEEP: Suzi Analogue “The Thing” (prod. by Suzi Analogue) & “The Program” f/Dudley Perkins (prod. by Georgia Anne Muldrow) [SINGLES]

Suzi Analogue is a producer/vocalist and performer that become one of my favorites on the beat scene in a relatively short amount of time. It goes back to her “World. Excerpts 1-9” release on Kenny Fresh’s Fresh Selects blog which led to her other well received early releases “3P”, & “NNXTAPE”. He first official release on Dopeness Galore is this single “The Thing”/”The Program” which drops May 26th. You can hear both jawns over @ Soundcloud (provided it’s embedded below) and cop it from Rush Hour. I can’t wait to finally hear that Suzi Analogue x TOKiMONSTA “Analog Monsta” project, either. Don’t sleep!

DON’T SLEEP: Nametag x Dub MD “Classic Cadence Vol. 3: End Credits” [FREE MIXTAPE]

My boy Nametag is back with his final installment of the “Classic Cadence” series. I go back to about 2005 or 2006 with Nametag’s bars and it’s time y’all recognize the body of work this man amassed during his career. This projects features guest bars from Guilty Simpson, Jamall Bufford (Buff1), Quest M.C. ODY and more plus production from Black Milk, Black Bethoven, Peace Of Mind and NAMELESS amongst others. Last year in DC, FWMJ, Danny Brown & I were talking about cats from Detroit that are still criminally slept on and Nametag’s name was mentioned alongside cats like Marv Won, Miz Korona, Fat Ray, Crown Nation and even Danny Brown himself. Whatever I can do to change that, I’ll do. In any event, it’s here! “Classic Cadence Vol. 3: End Credits”

DON’T SLEEP: Castle “Ditch Effort” [FREE ALBUM]

Castle has hit the wall. After two full decades of pursuing his dreams in the world of music he’s finally reached that breaking point where he’s fed up with the current way things are going. The thing about creative people is their feelings are is usually reflected in their art, “Ditch Effort” is no different. Castle produces and spits over his own slaps so he’s handling both sides of the creative process. You can easily relate to Castle’s narrative as he airs his frustrations of being stuck in the industry as a struggling talent while wack shit pervades the airwaves and lands magazine covers. I’d wanna leave the planet, too.

“Ditch Effort” is dope from the opening jawn to the final fadeout. I’d much rather listen to this then Kanye West “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy”. And it’s for FREE? If I had a label I’d hit the dude up about giving this a proper release. Real talk. Go listen to “Ditch Effort” (and the rest of Castle’s back catalog) here. Don’t let the wack shit win…

DON’T SLEEP: Fatt Father “Talladega Nights” (prod. by Chanes) [SINGLE]

DON’T SLEEP: Bumpy Knuckles f/N.O.R.E. “Lyrical Workout” (prod. by Statik Selektah) [SINGLE]

This shit is ridiculous! Bumpy Knuckles. N.O.R.E. Statik Selektah on the boards. This jawn is the lead single off the June 14th Bumpy Knuckles x Statik Selektah LP of the same name “Lyrical Workout”. N.O.R.E. kinda merked his verse! Catch it below. Don’t sleep…

DON’T SLEEP: Jukeboxx “Hurt Locker (Remix)” & “Hello Brooklyn (Remix)” [SINGLES]

Young UK producer Jukeboxx hit me up on Twitter via my Producers I Know account with links to the two singles from his upcoming project/mixtape with DJ Locky Stylez “The House Of Jukeboxx: The Remixes”. The first being a remix of Jay-Z & Lil’ Wayne’s “Hello Brooklyn” & the next is a ridiculous remix of Xzibit’s “Hurt Locker”. Don’t sleep!

DON’T SLEEP: Magestik Legend “Big Trouble In Little China” & Jamall Bufford (Buff1) “Stellar” (prod. by Astronote) [SINGLES]

Astronote has a new mixtape dropping soon called “Weapon Of The Future” and these two lead singles from said upcoming release feature Magestik Legend (“The Great Escape”) and Jamall Bufford (Buff1) (“Crown Royale” w/Rhettmatic). The two jawns in question are “Big Trouble In Little China” and “Stellar”. Both jams can be downloaded below. You can expect Astronote’s “Weapon Of The Future” to drop sometime between now and June. Salute to all the hard working people over at A Side Worldwide. They’re trying to WIN over there judging by the music I’m hearing…

DON’T SLEEP: Bamboo Bros (Dave Dar x Kurious) “American Jibaro” [PROMO VIDEO]

Bamboo Bros. (Dave Dar x Kurious) upcoming album on Benchmark Music “American Jibaro” will feature appearances from Pete Rock (“Beyond The Sensation”) & Talib Kweli  (“Let It Go”). “American Jibaro” showcases 12 tracks spanning 45 minutes that’ll become the perfect soundtrack to this summer. The album is stepped in the traditions of Hip Hop including digging for those old Soul records we heard at the block parties, cookouts and house parties back in the days. “American Jibaro” is as much a celebration of New York & the urban Latino experience as much as it is a celebration of Hip Hop and the DJ. I’ve been listening to this album for close to a year now and I can’t wait for the rest of the Hip Hop listening audience to finally experience it, too…

DON’T SLEEP: Seize Beats x Mad One “7 Daze A Week” [ALBUM + INSTRUMENTALS]

German producer Seize Beats (what up, Berlin?) & Texas emcee Mad One (what up, San Antonio?) both used the power of the internet and decided to make a project where every day Seize made or sent a beat to Mad One and he would in turn around and make a song out of it. At the end of a full week (seven days for the extremely slow), they had completed an ill project. Add in the instrumentals and you have “7 Daze A Week”. The final product is 18 total tracks, 10 songs and 8 bangin’ instrumentals. Expect to hear some of these jawns on future broadcasts of the Scrunchface Show. Don’t sleep!

DON’T SLEEP: Bugseed x ill.sugi “Flipping Formats” [BEAT TAPE]

Bugseed has been dropping links to all of these ridiculous beat tapes this past week and he just did it again. Here’s a collaborative beat tape Bugseed made with Japanese producer/emcee ill.sugi. The end result? “Flipping Formats”. I just wish this jawn were longer. Go get it, dummy!

DON’T SLEEP: Naive Machine “Basket Bass Beat Tape” [BEAT TAPE]

Team PIK member Naive is a certified beast at this production shit (Trust me & my iPod Touch. I KNOW). One of his upcoming projects come under the guise of Naive Machine. Last year he dropped the automatic headnod inducing “Basket Bass Beat Tape” showing off his skill at Dubstep, Bass and Electro leaning production. Back in January, he also dropped a mix called the “Naive Machine 2011 Sampler Mix” to get people prepped for his upcoming “Robot Ramification EP” dropping soon.

Naive’s “Robot Ramification EP” will be dropping soon on Hit And Hope Records.  They’ve previously released the bangers “Cement Mix”/”Jump Luigi”“Sept I Share” which are up on the Hit And Hope Bandcamp page. Expect a full post on Producers I Know when Naive Machine’s “Robot Ramification EP” becomes available for purchase. Don’t sleep on Naive!
