DON’T SLEEP: Samiyam “Sam Baker’s Album” [NEW INSTRUMENTAL PROJECT
Samiyam (“Rap Beats Vol. 1”, “Return EP”, “Man vs. Machine EP”, “Bootleg Beats” (w/Flying Lotus) & several placements) will drop his highly anticipated Brainfeeder project “I Am Sam Baker’s Album” on June 27th, 2011. This project will consist of 17 tracks and at the time of this posting there is no lead single as of yet. If the quality of the previous Brainfeeder releases or Samiyam’s back catalog is any indication, this album will be insane. As soon as a single is made available you best believe you’ll see it featured here.

DON’T SLEEP: Danny Swain “Where Is Danny?” [SINGLE]
Back in late 2009, Danny Swain dropped the LP “Where Is Danny?” for free after languishing on Def Jux for an extended stay around the time it was rumored that Definitive Jux would be folding. That album was hailed as one of the year’s best and it was produced by Alex Goose with a number of notable features including ones from Von Pea, Danny Brown & Che Grand. Then Danny disappeared. Again.
Danny resurfaced recently with the news that he had recently signed with Interscope and his album is being revamped with him behind the boards this time. What follows is the new version of “Where Is Danny?” produced by Danny Swain. Enjoy:

DON’T SLEEP: Christoph El’ Truento “Wednesday EP” & “Panda Hat EP” [INSTRUMENTAL PROJECTS]
The first time I ever heard any Christoph El’ Truento slaps was back in early 2009 when I was researching producers to profile for Poisonous Paragraphs. Back then there weren’t any Bandcamp, Official.fm or Flavors.me pages (I miss Muxtape & imeem). Folks were uploading zip files onto the internet promoted through blogs & their MySpace pages. I was actually tipped off about Christoph via a comment on Strictly Beats where I downloaded two of his instrumental releases “Pretty Butterflies” & “I Wanna Write A Book One Day…But For Now…”. Later on, I also downloaded his “Homemade Shit” project and loved it.
I was impressed with what I heard and I had arranged to do 150 producer profiles the next year on Bloggerhouse starting in June (25 profiles a month) until we started the Scrunchface Show in May 2010 & I was given Producers I Know in 2010 by Jay Large & FWMJ. I know present to you all Christoph El’ Truento’s “Wednesday EP” & “Panda Hat EP” via his Bandcamp page. Enjoy.
