DON’T SLEEP: Christoph El’ Truento “Wednesday EP” & “Panda Hat EP” [INSTRUMENTAL PROJECTS]
The first time I ever heard any Christoph El’ Truento slaps was back in early 2009 when I was researching producers to profile for Poisonous Paragraphs. Back then there weren’t any Bandcamp, Official.fm or Flavors.me pages (I miss Muxtape & imeem). Folks were uploading zip files onto the internet promoted through blogs & their MySpace pages. I was actually tipped off about Christoph via a comment on Strictly Beats where I downloaded two of his instrumental releases “Pretty Butterflies” & “I Wanna Write A Book One Day…But For Now…”. Later on, I also downloaded his “Homemade Shit” project and loved it.
I was impressed with what I heard and I had arranged to do 150 producer profiles the next year on Bloggerhouse starting in June (25 profiles a month) until we started the Scrunchface Show in May 2010 & I was given Producers I Know in 2010 by Jay Large & FWMJ. I know present to you all Christoph El’ Truento’s “Wednesday EP” & “Panda Hat EP” via his Bandcamp page. Enjoy.

DON’T SLEEP: Buctayla “Hellsenda Productions: Realm Organization Vol. 1 (2000-2006)” [FREE INSTRUMENTAL PROJECT]
My brother is named Buctayla and he is half of a production team called Hellsenda Productions that’s been in existence since 1993. I’ve seen him go from using a Boss DR 550 & a Gemini DS 1224 to mastering the Ensoniq EPS 16 Plus & ASR 10 to murdering the Akai MPC 2000 XL. I spent months poring through hundreds of beats, digitizing files & converting them to mp3’s. Then I narrowed it down to 32 beats & used the cover art for a compilation that we never dropped back in 2004. This is a collection of 32 unreleased instrumentals & beats that were bought and never fully paid for or were set to drop on a gang of albums that never came out over the years.
Without further ado, here are several Buctayla beats made on an ASR-10 & MPC 2000 XL between 2000-2006 that some heads had no clue what to do with since the whole beat culture didn’t really exist like it does now. Enjoy and if you want to use any of these tracks hit me up @ poisonousparagraphs@gmail.com to arrange something:

Daedelus “Bespoke” [NEW INSTRUMENTAL ALBUM]
Daedelus returns with a full length project due April 11th (April 12th Stateside) titled “Bespoke” that will be released via indie giant Ninja Tune. I can’t even begin to list all of the old classic Ninja Tune & Jazz Fudge releases I copped going back to the late 90’s. If you’re unfamiliar with Daedelus’ back catalog (which is missing the incredible “Righteous Fists Of Harmony EP”) or his work with his wife as the group The Long Lost then you should read this piece about the LP I saw up on Smashcartel a while back. I’ve heard the album, it’s amazing. Expect to hear even more Daedelus in the coming months on The Scrunchface Show. This I command! © Serpentor
