Hawthorne Headhunters (Black Spade & Coultrain) take St. Louis and bring it to Los Angeles. In 2015, that is. They’ve recorded an incredible opus of futuristic Soul & Funk called “Myriad Of Now” on their HVW8 imprint but it was picked up by LA based label Plug Research which has handled some of my favorite recent releases such by Shafiq Husayn, Quadron & Bilal. The 14 song album “Myriad Of Now” will drop in early 2012. I. CAN’T. WAIT. TO. HEAR. IT. Here’s the audio of the lead single from Evidence’s long awaited “Cats & Dogs” LP on Rhymesayers Entertainment. The release date is September 27th, 2011. The last real Evidence release was “The Layover EP” he dropped on Decon back in November 2008 and I remember the news initially broke of Ev signing his contract with Rhymesayers back in July 2009. He said he’s gone through some personal shit during this time so hopefully it makes for some great music and this album will serve as catharsis.
