DON’T SLEEP: Jazz Addixx “The Intermission Vol. 2” [INSTRUMENTAL PROJECT & VIDEOS]
My DMV peoples, Bloggerhouse favorites and The Scrunchface Show regulars Jazz Addixx (DJ Ragz, MUDD & ST/MiC) all got together @ ST/MiC’s Timeless Daimyo Studios in Charlottesville, VA on the weekend of December 3rd-5th just to chill and make some beats. By the weekend’s close they’d fucked around and made an entire album. MUDD rocked his trusty Ensoniq ASR 10 while DJ Ragz & ST/MiC opted for the Akai MPC 2000 XL and 13 tracks later they had a full project on their collective hands. They also recorded footage of the sessions and the end result is the Gorilla Fist Clothing sponsored new Jazz Addixx release “The Intermission Vol. 2”
The Bandcamp preview link has been provided already but here are a few promo videos shot by the guys themselves (shout out to The Unknown) featuring a few selections from the project, namely “MUDD’s “Radio”, DJ Ragz’ “Around 11” & ST/MiC’s “Mission Airy”. Enjoy & cop “The Intermission Vol. 2”.

DON’T SLEEP: Datahowler “Prophet” [SINGLE]
Dallas graphic designer/producer Datahowler has been on my radar since the old Poisonous Paragraphs days and his slaps have been featured on The Scrunchface Show since it’s inception last Spring. I currently am sitting on a few unreleased projects of his but a while back he told me that he was releasing an album of all new material. Shortly afterwards, he announced his Kickstarter campaign for the project titled “Slowdrifter” slated for release on 1.25.11. The following track “Prophet” is the project’s lead single and based on the previous material I’ve heard from dude I can’t wait to hear the full length. Enjoy:

DON’T SLEEP: M Slago f/The Rapture, Dow Jonez, Word Life & Money Stax “Run For Cover” [SINGLE]
M Slago has become one of my favorite producers of 2010 and this single he hit us off with from the upcoming “Rampage EP” has nothing to change that fact. I played this jawn on the the last broadcast of “Bloggerhouse presents The Scrunchface Show” and it banged like Rachel McAdams (or her body double’s) backyard in that GIF that currently has the internet goin’ nuts (no Paul Wall). Here it is for your listening pleasure, “Run For Cover”. Get a damb neckbrace (and just to be safe, wear a condom). Enjoy:

DON’T SLEEP: Realm Organization “Life Analysis 1.5: The Reboot” [NEW MIXTAPE]
In the mid 90’s, the Boston Hip Hop group Relentless broke up and went their separate ways. Later on, they formed a new crew, different groups and a new indie label called xnr inc. (xtensive nterprises inc.) after Tomax & Xamot’s corporation in the “G.I. Joe” cartoons. The spelling was to insure they wouldn’t be sued by either Hasbro, Sunbow Productions or Marvel Comics later on. One of the groups on said label was called Realm Organization and they were going to name their album “Life Analysis” since “Realm” is an acronym for “Relentless Everlasting Analyzing Life’s Meaning”. In 1999, they secured a deal with a local indie label and they began recording the “Life Analysis” LP while crew member DYS was making noise in the scene, ultimately becoming affiliated with local legends Krumbsnatcha and later freestyle champion and former Concrete Click member KT and his K-Munications label.
In the Summer of ’99, the main studio of xnr inc. & home of the crew’s main producer Buctayla located at 487 Mass Ave in the South End of Boston was one of the less than 200 rent controlled units left in the city thus the vote for keeping rent control failed miserably. The tenants of said unit were given weeks to vacate their home of almost 25 years. This greatly affected the crew as Nasarok eventually also moved and it affected Buctayla & Nasarok’s ability to finish the album. Eventually, life intervened as Nasarok moved to Hawaii & Buctayla and Cardi teamed up to focus on production now that they both had children to support. Crew member DYS was incarcerated at the time so everything was in a holding pattern for years with the crew. Fast forward to today.
With the wonders of modern technology, Buctayla & Nasarok have been able to not only recover some of their old finished tracks from the original 1999 “Life Analysis” sessions but record brand new material to go with it. The result? Realm Organization “Life Analysis 1.5: The Reboot”. In the future, expect the full release of the 1999 opus “Life Analysis” as well as a few instrumental projects from Buctayla’s MPC circa the same era in addition to DYS’ mixtape “Live From 617” in January. This site is is called “Producers I Know” and there is no other producer I know better than he. He’s my brother. Don’t sleep:

DON’T SLEEP: IMAKEMADBEATS “Daylight EP” & “Nightlight EP” [FREE EP’s]
Bloggerhouse favorites IMAKEMADBEATS and the entire Doxside Music Group decided to continue their dominance of 2010 (which included the epic Bloggerhouse sponsored “Dare Iz A Doxside Mixtape”) by closing out the year with two amazing EP’s, “Daylight EP” featuring the vocal talents of the respected emcee Butta Verses and the “Nightlight EP” featuring the monster himself Midaz The Beast. Typically, cats just decide to lay low in December and let the past 12 months of work speak for them. Not the Doxside camp, they simply don’t believe in resting on their laurels (though it would be a much earned rest after the 2010 they’ve managed to put together).
After hearing these two projects your eyes should be open wider than homie in that scene in “A Clockwork Orange”. Be on the lookout for IMAKEMADBEATS, TzariZM, and the rest of the Doxside Music Group in the near future. Don’t sleep. Sleep is the cousin of Death.

DON’T SLEEP: Jaisu “Prelude To The MPC EP” & “Straight Out The MPC” [FREE EP & INSTRUMENTAL ALBUM]
Bloggerhouse favorite, Beat Fanatic member, Tartan Bully (w/ S-Type) and Scrunchface Show regular Jaisu had the internet going nuts since he started posting up his Beat Tape series online (shout out to AB0181) in addition to his Louis Den battle videos plus live demos. Folks have been clamoring for material of his they could download or purchase for the longest. They finally have something to bang in their iPods, Zunes (?), smartphones or whips with Jaisu’s free EP full of recent placements “Prelude To The MPC EP” and his instrumental album “Straight Out The MPC” featuring many of his slaps made from 2007-2010 that have been featured in his incredibly popular online Beat Tape series.
When Jaisu was asked in a recent YouTube Beat Tape where’d he get his drum sounds from, he responded with “Where do I get my drum sounds from? DRUMS!”. That answered epitomized everything there is to know about Jaisu and his Tartan Bully cohort S-Type. Cop “Straight Out The MPC” and if you need work from him hit up his manager OJ Loopz @ JaisuBeatsandBooking[at]gmail[dot]com. Serious inquiries only. Also expect to hear some more exclusive Jaisu & S-Type slaps @ 8 -11 PM EST tonight on The Scrunchface Show @ http://bloggerhouse.net/live. Don’t sleep.

Brutal Music x Hard White feat. Un Pacino & Mumbles “Get It In ”
Brutal Music x Twin Gambino & G.O.D. Pt. 3 (Infamous Mob) “Kings From Queens”
The second single in a series from the Brutal Music camp brings forth some good old fashioned New York City thugged out street rap. Twin Gambino & G.O.D. Pt. 3 (Infamous Mobb) rep lovely on “Kings From Queens” and Un Pacino & Mumbles (Hard White) bring it home nicely on “Get It In”. This is pure unadulterated street shit.
