My homie P.U.D.G.E. gets his rhyme on over a Madlib beat and it’s over so fast, This cannot be all it is! Stop sleeping on his skills. He does more than just make beats!

I was sent a beat tape earlier today by a cat called Quality and it’s a Dilla inspired beat tape called “Godson Of The Clapper”. I gave it a listen and it’s pretty dope. Check out “Godson Of The Clapper” here and don’t sleep…

September 4th, 2010 was the last day @ Fat Beats’ old location @ Manhattan and several DJ’s (including A-Trak & Just Blaze) came down and did live sets where they used to cop their vinyl and came down to salute a spot dedicated to the preservation of the culture. Here’s the world famous turntablist, party rocker and producer DJ Scratch on the wheels of steel. Enjoy…

As if seeing a Red Bull Big Tune late round beat battle isn’t enough of a treat you get to witness ALC & Just Blaze having their touring Soundclash live. Al played some of his hood bangers while Just ran through much of his Roc A Fella catalog for the people dem. In any event, it’s still dope to see these two giants of Hip hop production production share a stage together. This is a moment forever preserved in amber thanks to YouTube. Now, the Red Bull Big Tune has been suspended indefinitely all before it ever had a qualifying round in Boston even. Damb.

S1 AKA Symbolyc One of Strange Fruit Project is a hot name in Hip Hop & R&B production right now but I’ve been a fan of his since 2006. Back in 2008, he began uploading YouTube videos of his then 10 year old son who went by the name VohnBeatz. He was already surprisingly good but his improvement over the span of a year was astonishing. His YouTube videos got so popular that it led to VohnBeatz having a showcase at the prestigious One Stop Shop held by Sha Money XL.
Here the then 12 year old VohnBeatz blew everyone’s minds with his talent and charisma. He’s only gotten better since then, people. I retagged and posted this beat tape on Poisonous Paragraphs for him back then. He’s won a few beat battles and showcases since then, too. By the time he turns 16, he’ll be a MONSTER. Salute great parenting and humble kids with their heads on straight. God bless. Don’t sleep!

Exile’s live flip of Lil’ Wayne “A Milli” on his MPC 200o XL was big news on the Hip Hop blogosphere when he recorded it and uploaded it to YouTube back in late 2008. Later on he made it part of his live performances, this was all before Araab Muzik began doing his live MPC sets and sadly enough claiming that no one was doing it before him on Twitter last year. I’m almost 36 so I know better. in any event, enjoy seeing this master of the MPC work. I’d like to see him & Araab Muzik live demoing back to back like how Just Blaze & The Alchemist did on their recent Soundclash Tour. Don’t sleep!.

This project involves Mensa-El of Analog Burners chopping and re-editing Polish jazz drummer Czeslaw Bartowski with the aid of a Roland MV-8800. Mensa-El actually sent “Drum Dream” to me a while back but I didn’t have a chance to sit down an listen to it all the way through until earlier on today. I dig it. Go check it out now. Don’t sleep…

These are some live beat videos from RUFIO of ALORA (alongside Scrunchface Show regulars B.Lewis & Insightful) & Live @ The Dojo that date back to 2009. This is one of the illest cats to rock the Supreme box logo and make beats. Don’t sleep on him…

NegroSaki‘s Short Bump Series has been getting a lot of burn lately all over the internet lately but to me the true test of a dope beatmaker/producer/remixer is if he or she can take something terrible and make it dope. NegroSaki has done this time and again with Justin Beiber and even Selena Gomez. Salute this man, this is the only version of “Baby” I can actually stomach. Don’t sleep…

Team PIK member Naive‘s new project as Naive Machine is called “Robot Ramification EP” and is going to drop on 12″ vinyl August 15th. The extra funky new single from Mayer Hawthorne is called “A Long Time” and this song is funky as hell and it deserves a special video. This video fills all of the criterion you’d expect it to. Go check it out on Vimeo since it won’t embed no matter what tricks I try. Don’t sleep. This jawn is LIVE. Can’t wait to hear the entire album…

At first I was gonna post some classic live RUFIO beat videos but at the last moment I decided to go with this haunting Michael Jackson remix video instead with footage from Berry Gordy’s “The Last Dragon” instead. I can save the live RUFIO beat making videos for when more people are awake. In any event, don’t sleep. Lord knows I don’t…

This got sent to me not too long ago via Twitter and I decided to check it out. I ended up being pleasantly surprised by what I ‘d heard so Mark V doesn’t need to cross his fingers anymore as he’s earned his place on Producers I Know for his “August Beat Tape”. While you’re there you might as well peep his entire Bandcamp. Don’t sleep!

This cat Dead Horse Beats hits me up and sends me this beat tape consisting of source material from the Swing Era that begins at the opening of WW2 (1939 or 1941 for Americans) until the end of the war (1945). It’s a great idea and well done for this most part except for a few off beat moment and one godawful blend (“Back Home (West Coast)”) that you should probably just skip over. Go listen to Dead Horse Beats “Sounds Of The Swing Era” right now. Don’t sleep…

DJ Booth.net is killing the game very bad to quote Kanye West back when I still liked him. Here’s a ridiculous mixtape from hometown heroes and my peoples Slaine and Statik Selektah called “State Of Grace”. Statik Selektah handled all of the production and features come from Lawtown’s own REKS, ST Da Squad members Termanology & Kali, ex New England Patriots LB Tully Banta-Cain plus rhyme vets Ill Bill (La Coka Nostra), D-Stroy (RSC/Arsonists) & Action Bronson (“Well Done” in stores soon!). Pick up Slaine’s “A World With No Skies 2.0” when it drops on August 16th, 2011. DON’T SLEEP!
