Denmark Vessey of Crown Nation dropped a new project called “I’d Rather Be Makin’ Bread EP” and if you know ANYTHING about PIK you’d know that if anyone from Crown Nation makes anything you’ll hear it and see it here. If you made as much dope shit as Denmark, Quelle or Mosel I’d do the same for you. But you HAVE TO first. Listen dumbass….

Oh No dropped one of the best albums of 2012 with his jawn “Ohnomite” on Five Day Weekend/Brick Records just recently. Today he’s back with an instrumental opus called “Dr. No’s Kali Tornado Funk” that’s comparable to his previous efforts like “Dr. No’s Ethiopium” and “Dr. No’s Oxperiment”. If you’re a fan of raw instrumentals (and you BETTER be!) then cop “Dr. No’s Kali Tornado Funk” right now from iTunes, Amazon and UGHH. Don’t sleep!

One of the pillars of Boston Hip-Hop is Gang Starr Posse which grew into the Gang Starr Foundation. The original incarnation of Gang Starr Posse was Big Shug, Keithy E The Guru and Shug’s brother Suave D. Big Shug returns with his first album in years titled “I.M. 4-Eva” where in the liner notes (buy the physical copy if at all possible!) he breaks down the history of Gang Starr. This album features production from DJ Premier, Fizzy Womack (Lil’ Fame of M.O.P.), Lee Bannon, Jay Quest, Reel Drama & Purpose (of Tragic Allies). “I.M. 4-Eva” features guest appearances from M.O.P., Fat Joe, Slaine, Termanology, REKS, Singapore Kane & Trumayne. You can cop “I.M. 4-Eva” right now from iTunes, Amazon & UGHH. Don’t sleep…

La Coka Nostra returns with a slimmed down lineup and quite possibly an even grittier approach than their debut “A Brand You Trust” (which I honestly didn’t even know was possible) for the new LP “Masters Of The Dark Arts”. This jawn features production from DJ Premier, Statik Selektah, Ill Bill, DJ Lethal, Beat Butcha, Sicknature, C-Lance, Scott Stallone & Jack Of All Trades. Guest bars come courtesy of Sean Price, Vinnie Paz (Jedi Mind Tricks), Sick Jacken, Thirstin Howl III & Big Left (original LCN member). Cop “Masters Of The Dark Arts” right now from iTunes, Amazon, Fat Beats (vinyl available) & UGHH (vinyl available). Don’t sleep…

I first heard Vandalyzm’s music via The Smoking Section, Okayplayer and MySpace way back in 2007 through DJ Trackstar who was trying to get his name out any way possible. I decided to give it a listen via a sampler Trackstar was pushing heavy and I was impressed by what I heard. I then checked out his MySpace and I began to correspond with him via that site. I had Poisonous Paragraphs at the time and I’d just began reviewing albums a short time ago. Vandalyzm was selling his album “Megatron Majorz” via the SnoCap store and he shot me a free copy so I could review it. I didn’t ask him for one. He took the initiative himself based on me believing in his music and talent both on the mic and behind the boards. I loved the album and I’ve been a fan ever since.
Now here we are 5 years later and Vandalyzm needs help to finish/execute his upcoming project. There has been an overwhelming response from the music community but I want to get the homie over the hump and ensure this project gets made. Go to his Kickstarter to hear the story for yourselves as to why he needs our help and donate whatever you can. We have 10 days before we reach our goal so I’m asking the worldwide audience Producers I Know carries to lend support to a producer/emcee I know. Don’t sleep!
