It’s finally here! Foul Mouth’s debut beat tape “Soul Louis” dropped back as it struck midnight ushering in June 20th and it has been a whirlwind of activity for the entire creative team behind it ever since. “Soul Louis” is a collection of 20 raw soul stirring beats that both celebrate and showcase the historical, cultural and musical contributions of Detroit, Michigan. All beats were produced by Foul Mouth. The project was co-executive produced by myself and Pat “313” Deegan and the art direction/graphic design was done by Cancer Ugly of EyesBleedDefiance. Not only did he bless the front & back covers of the project but he also shot & edited the video for the beat “Detroit Gospel” off “Soul Louis”. Pete Cannon: Iller Minimix
Manchester based producer Pete Cannon put together a selection of his new beats exclusively for iller in this fire minimix. Bass heavy beats laced with crisp drums and a healthy slice of synth – just the way you like it. We know alot of people slept on this so we just wanted to resurrect this for a minute and put it on the bandcamp for free download for those who might have missed it
Producers I Know
First of all shouts to my dude Frank (FWMJ) who started the whole Rappers I Know movement.
I’ve been sending beats from my producers over to Frank for the past couple of years and we’ve had some great conversations about this rap game.
I guess it kinda fell into place when I said to him, when you gonna get this Producers I Know site up….you know it’s gotta happen!!! Frank’s reply was….Word!!!
So building on to my push for the producer I manage “Pete Cannon” and the others who I shop beats for I decided it was time to gel the two sites together and with Franks blessing we are making it happen, he has always been amazed at the talent from the producers I link him with.
Hopefully the site will progress into a source of knowledge and advice for producers who are seeking to get their beats heard not just by rappers but by industry A&R’s.
So as an introduction and to kick off the site I thought I would like to introduce you to the kinda talent I have been pushing beats for.
