BBE Records‘ most celebrated series of releases amongst Hip Hop fans & beatheads is without a doubt their “The Beat Generation” line. I personally have many of the CD’s still in the rotation to this very day. This 10th anniversary double CD compilation contains 56 standout selections from production luminaries and legends such as Marley Marl, Pete Rock, J Dilla, DJ Spinna, Madlib, Kev Brown, Will I. Am, King Britt, Jazzy Jeff & Larry Gold. If you were late to the party and weren’t up on these BBE releases back when they began dropping at the beginning of the decade.
With all of the high profile Hip Hop releases that are dropping this month, I hope people don’t sleep on “The Beat Generation: 10th Anniversary Collection” which drops on March 29th, 2011 on BBE Records.
